I started this blog in 2008 when I was taking care of little kids full-time and using my spare time to write. I have gone through so much since then, and this blog has seen periods of many posts and periods of zero posts. It even attracted a bit of drama - was used against me in a never-ending lawsuit as evidence that I'm a man-hating animal worshipper, LOL.
What I actually am is a nurse, a mother, and a woman married to a woman. I love life in all its strange and sometimes painful beauty, and occasionally I like to write about it. I get excited about things like anatomy, picture books, the moon, coffee, wound care, frisbees, spontaneous dance parties, punny jokes, dark chocolate, hospice, music videos, and all things Buffy. That's what I blog about, in the spirit of Dar Williams' song "The Babysitter's Here," because circumstances are always changing and it's confusing but it's okay. It's Peace, Man, Cool, Yeah...always.
