Happiness Commandments

Inspired by my friend Val, here is my first attempt at personal Happiness Commandments. I'm fairly certain they will evolve.
1. Watch & Wonder. Pretty much everything in this world is amazing if I take time to notice.
2. You have these depths. Take care of them. Anne Scott's advice to me and my guiding thought throughout 2011. No need to go searching or striving for wisdom.
3. Be on your own side. Choose gentleness over guilt. Don't doubt my intuition. My feelings and opinions are valid. It's okay to get angry.
4. Be open. To love I've never known before, to joy that's been here all along, to mystery, to truth, to Life.
5. Breathe. Deep breaths always make me feel better.
6. Stretch & drink lots of water. This body needs tender loving care.
7. Be goofy. I love to sing and dance. I love to do silly voices, make funny faces, tell corny jokes. Cracking myself up (and hopefully others now and then) is a big part of my personal happiness.
8. Be aware of what you need.
9. Be aware of what you want.
10. Determine the next practical step and do it.
